In a surprising partnership that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Material

Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana together with several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also introduces the game's third free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
